Queen’s Tower to rule over Brisbane cityscape

Brisbane city has a $1 billion landmark residential and mixed-use development that will soon tower over the city landscape. The Queen’s Tower development at 545 Queen Street will be a beacon of world-class design. It incorporates luxury apartments, short-term accommodations, along with a brand new shopping and dining precinct. Construction is scheduled to commence in 2018, when the current building’s lease expires.
The development team have stated that the approval of the tower showed that there was confidence in the residential market in Brisbane and that they are still looking for partners to come on board with the team, who have a track record for high quality construction on developments of this size.
The tower is hoped to add to the evolution of Brisbane city, which has strong predicted growth potential over the next decade and has been designed with the needs of the city and its future in mind. It will deliver 891 new apartments, 100 serviced apartments and around 2500sqm of retail and commercial space, as well as basement parking for cars and bicycles.
The Queen’s Tower is set to be a new landmark on the Brisbane cityscape and the developers have said it will be highly integrated into the surrounding area, particularly with the retail, commercial and community zones they plan to build into the building.
The design has a curved facade so that people on the street can enjoy the evolution of the building as they move around it. It’s set to be completed in the early part of the 2020’s.
